What this integration does

Once connected, Pinpoint and InterWiz share candidate data automatically. Add a candidate in Pinpoint, they appear in InterWiz, get AI-screened against your criteria, and their full evaluation report syncs back to their Pinpoint profile. No manual exports, no switching tabs.

Initial setup~10 min

Before you begin, ensure you have admin access on both InterWiz AI and Pinpoint ATS, with permission to manage API keys and webhooks.

1.1

Access integration settings

In InterWiz AI, click your profile avatar (top-right) and select Account Settings.

Navigate to the Integrations tab. 
Find Pinpoint in the list and enable the toggle. A configuration modal will open.

Configure your Pinpoint API URL

Log in to Pinpoint and copy the URL from your browser's address bar.

Append /api/v1 to the end of your base URL.
Example: https://your-company.pinpointhq.com → https://your-company.pinpointhq.com/api/v1

Paste the formatted URL into the modal and click Next.

Generate & enter the Pinpoint API key

In Pinpoint, navigate to Settings → API and Webhooks.

Ensure you're on the API Keys tab and click Create New.

Name the key (e.g. "InterWiz Integration") and grant all permissions for all modules.
Important: Skipping any module permission is the most common reason candidate data silently fails to sync. Grant access to all modules before saving.

Click Create API Key and copy the key.
Return to InterWiz, paste the key, and click Next.

Set up the webhook

A webhook lets Pinpoint receive real-time status updates from InterWiz whenever a candidate's interview progresses or completes.

Copy the Webhook URL displayed on the InterWiz screen.

In Pinpoint, go to Settings → API and Webhooks → Webhooks tab and click New Webhook.
Paste the Webhook URL into the field and save.
Important: Copy the URL exactly as shown, do not add trailing slashes or modify it in any way.

Enter the signing secret key

The signing secret verifies that updates received by Pinpoint genuinely came from InterWiz.

In Pinpoint, click the webhook you just created to open its sidebar.
Copy the Signing Secret Key shown in the sidebar.
Important: Each webhook has a unique signing secret. Use the one for the webhook you just created, not a previous one.

Return to InterWiz, paste the secret, and click Done.

You have successfully connected Pinpoint ATS with InterWiz AI. The next section configures your hiring pipeline stages.

Stages setup~5 min

Configure your Pinpoint hiring workflow so InterWiz can automatically update candidate status as interviews progress.

Create the hiring workflow

In Pinpoint, go to Settings → Templates → Hiring Workflows and click Create New.

Name it something with "InterWiz" in it (e.g. "InterWiz AI Screening") for easy identification later.

Add the following 5 required stages after your Review stage:

2.2

Create the InterWiz Report question

This field is how InterWiz attaches the PDF evaluation report to a candidate's Pinpoint profile automatically.

Go to Settings → Templates → Questions and click Create New.

Set type to Document, name it exactly Interwiz Report, and set all remaining fields to No. Once done, click Create Question.

Workflow and question configured. You're ready to run your first candidate through the integration.

Create an interview template in InterWiz

In InterWiz, go to Templates → Create Template and select your type (e.g. Video Screening).

Complete all required fields. Optionally, you will fill the Resume Shortlisting Criteria, as this enables the resume scoring for candidates that will sync from Pinpoint.

Click Next and wait for the AI to generate assessments, then proceed and save the template.

Create a job listing in Pinpoint

In Pinpoint, go to Manage Jobs → Create New Job.

These four fields must be configured correctly for the integration to work:

Complete remaining fields, publish the job, and click Add Candidates to begin the flow.

Add candidates in Pinpoint

Click on the published job listing, then click Add Candidates. Fill in all the necessary information for the candidate and click "Create Candidate". The candidate will now appear in your job's candidate listing within Pinpoint ATS.

Manage candidates in InterWiz

In Interwiz, open your interview template and click the Candidates tab. Candidates added in Pinpoint will appear here automatically.

In Pinpoint ATS, move the candidate's stage to Interview Scheduled. This automatically triggers an interview invitation to the candidate via Interwiz. This can also be done in bulk by selecting multiple candidates and changing their stage at once.

Interview outcome scenarios

After scheduling, Pinpoint is automatically updated based on what happens:

Candidate completes interview, AI recommends them	Evaluated Candidate
Candidate completes interview, AI does not recommend	Evaluated Candidate
Interview deadline passes, candidate never started	Interview Expired
Interview manually cancelled by recruiter	Interview Cancelled

Both Recommended and Not Recommended land in "Evaluated Candidate", the detailed report tells you which is which.

The evaluation report~1 min to access

Once a candidate completes their interview, InterWiz automatically generates a full evaluation report and attaches it as a PDF to their Pinpoint profile.

Accessing the report in Pinpoint

In Pinpoint, open the candidate's profile by clicking their name.

Click the Documents tab and download the Answer Documents PDF.

Review the report and update the candidate's stage in Pinpoint accordingly.

Troubleshooting

The most common issues and how to fix them.

Candidates added in Pinpoint aren't appearing in InterWiz

Check that the job's Custom Field has the InterWiz template selected, the Workflow is set to your InterWiz workflow, and the Resume field is "Shown and Required." All three must be configured before candidates are added.

The evaluation report isn't appearing in Pinpoint after the interview

Confirm the Interwiz Report Document question was added to the job's Questions section (Section 3.2). Without this field, InterWiz has no attachment point. Also verify the webhook is active in Pinpoint under Settings → API and Webhooks.

API key errors or 'unauthorized' responses

The API key may lack full permissions. In Pinpoint → Settings → API and Webhooks → API Keys, confirm all module permissions are enabled. If correct, regenerate the key and re-enter it in InterWiz under Settings → Integrations → Pinpoint → Edit.

How do I update credentials or reconfigure the integration?

In InterWiz, go to Settings → Integrations → Pinpoint → Edit. You can update the API URL, key, webhook URL, and signing secret at any time. Existing candidates in InterWiz are not affected.
